How we work has changed, but we haven’t…

16 December 2021 by Justin Rush

Since the onset of the pandemic, we have all adapted, because we have had to.  At Abacus, like a lot of other workplaces, how and where we work changed.  We are a pretty social bunch, we are family orientated and enjoy knowing what is happening in each other’s lives.  Work-From-Home meant we lost the informal ‘water-cooler’ chats, banter at after-work drinks and the buzz of events.

Being in person with colleagues became a really important issue for us.  In the second half of 2021, we have been able to get together, safely and securely, and enjoy each other’s company – and we loved it!

Amidst the restrictions, closures, postponements, and guidance we managed to squeeze in:

BBQ night at the Belfast Cookery School

‘School of Rock’ at the Grand Opera House

The NI Festival of Racing at Down Royal

Pre-Christmas drinks at House in Botanic

(And a few welcome lunches and outdoor meet-ups)

On-line is good but in-person is great.  If you are a people person and are interested in a career in recruitment, view our join-us page and reach out. Maybe you will be in some of our future pictures!
