Accounting Technician/Accounts Assistant

Abacus Careers are delighted to be working with an exciting Contractors based in Armagh, we are seeking to speak with an experienced Accounts Assistant/Accounting Technician to working alongside this friendly team with a lovely working culture and lots of scope for progression.

Salary up to £30k depending on experience

Early 3pm finish Fridays!

In your new role you will be involved in:

• Preparation of quarterly accounts

• • Assisting with annual accounts and audit files
• • Daily processing of purchase/sales ledger
• • Ensuring invoices received are VAT compliant.
• • Supplier payments
• • Process VAT and other statutory returns
• • Quarter end journals
• • Balance sheet reconciliation
• • Ad hoc duties
• • Maintenance of internal reconciliation spread sheets.
• • Preparation of pre-payments
• • Review of P+L codes
• • Bank reconciliations
• • Intercompany reconciliations

Essential Skills

Experience using computerised accounts software such as SAGE

2 years’ experience in a similar role

Excellent knowledge of Excel

Desirable Skills

Studying towards or previously gained IATI or currently Part Qualified studying towards ACCA or

CIMA
