Accounting Technician -South Belfast

Abacus are delighted to be working with a fantastic and well established company based in South Belfast, in recent years, have undergone huge success and growth. Due to this, they are seeking to add a Tax Technician/Accounts Technician to their busy team.

• Hours 8.45-5 Monday to Thursday (flexible with start and finish times)
• 8.45-4 Fridays
• 22 days Annual Leave + 11 stats

The Role: Working within the tax team, primarily focussed on personal tax matters.

In your new role you responsibilities will be:

• Completion of personal and corporate tax returns for portfolio of clients.
• Ensuring allocated clients remain compliant with HMRC requirements.
• Planning and controlling own work with minimum supervision.
• Preparation of income and expenditure accounts.
• Preparation of financial statements and / or assistance therein.
• Assistance with payroll as required.
• Preparation of income and expenditure accounts.

• Works well as part of a team as well as working independently.
• Reporting to and working with Managers and Partners.
• To constantly strive to add value to the practice.

Who you are:

• Be a qualified Tax Technician or Accounting Technician with experience in personal tax.
• Previous tax related experience in a medium size firm would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
