Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join this Belfast-based Finance Team. The successful candidate will be someone who is highly motivated and can lead change to make continuous improvements to internal processes within their responsibilities.

 Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

• Preparation of accruals and prepayments
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Basic variance analysis to budget
• Assistance with month-end procedures
• Assisting with accounts payable
• Assistance with preparation of opex budgets.
• Preparation of VAT returns (NI and ROI).
• Preparing governmental returns including CSO.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in a finance related role and knowledge of basic accountancy principles.
• Proven experience in MS Excel and other MS packages (Word / PowerPoint etc).
• Qualification (full or partial) in accountancy is desirable, but not essential
