Newly created position within a top NI business for an Accounts Manager to lead the inter-company finance team overseeing AP & AR functions. We are seeking a candidate with relevant accounts expertise, management experience and the ability to review and implement improved business systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a finance team of 20+ employees, overseeing the day to day running of all processes within the payable and receivables department
• Regular reporting and timely management of debt
• Managing the ongoing relationships with key business stakeholders
• Oversee the ‘insurer payments function’ and the process around payment and recovery of claims
• Assist with recruitment and training of staff within the Accounts team
• Lead the integration of acquired businesses into group account’s function
• Continually seek opportunities for improvements in processes, systems and procedures
• Assist with financial analysis and special projects as needed
• Liaise as appropriate with the team’s customers and insurers if needed

Experience

• Strong accounts experience with understanding of AP & AR processes (essential)
• Experience in managing or supervising a team (essential)
• Highly proficient in Excel (essential)
• Strong numerical and analysis skills (essential)
• Degree or other professional Qualification in Finance, Accountancy or Business (desirable)
• Experience or understanding of insurance/broking accounts (desirable)
