Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with strong Governance and Internal Controls experience?

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable finance assistant for a brand new role within a professional services company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high volume processing, preferably in a professional services or international company.

Responsibilities:

• AP processing from end to end, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Management of corporate cards and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts payable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and ensure proper coding and classification of expenses.
• Reporting as required in line with AP tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Perform monthly and year-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Participate in internal and external audits and provide supporting documentation as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in accounts payable / purchase ledger is essential.
• Experience working with high volume processing in a large company is desirable.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
