Administration Officer

Abacus Temporary staffing is delighted to be working with our client, a local not for profit organisation who has been in existence within our local community for over 20 years as they seek to appoint an administrative officer to join their team.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work for a local, well established not for profit organisation that prides themselves on their heritage that is extensive through hundred of years.

As the Administrative office, you will be the first point of contact to manage internal and external queries and therefore a huge degree of professionalism is always required. You will work with a small team of dedicated officers and provide them with clerical support of the highest standards.

You will also be responsible for the following tasks;

  • To process incoming and outgoing post and record onto internal systems.
  • Meet and greet visitors to the office
  • Provide clerical support and administration of events, internal/external communications including mailshots, room bookings, hospitality arrangements, databases, and registrations.
  • To liaise with external organisations, ensure applications are in line with internal policies and requirements.
  • To assist in the preparation of applications prior to reviewing form the departmental managers
  • To update and maintain information held on the internal database.
  • To provide additional admin support to the Executive team as and when required.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports. Provide information from records when required

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English A*-C
  • Minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience working within a professional office environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using office-based software with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel
