*This role can be fully remote but you MUST reside in N.Ireland and be available to travel to Belfast for meetings etc*
Salary £28-32k + 10-20% Bonus

Role:
- Adhering to the month end close timetable. Assist with the month end close of the balance sheet and income statement
- Supporting the wider UK finance team functions including Legal Entity Control, Product Control, Regulatory Reporting and Tax
- Preparing and loading journal entries into the Workday ERP system for review
- Assist in the production of balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and investigating variances
- Support the preparation of monthly business performance reporting to management including income statement, balance sheet and commentary
- Provide general accounting support to all levels of staff and management
- Assisting with audit requests including preparation of reconciliations, organising documents, and responding to enquiries
- Maintain strong internal controls and keep process documentation up to date
- Perform ad hoc reporting and assist with projects as required
What we are looking for?
- Bachelors Degree in accounting and finance (Preferred but not essential)
- 2+ years’ experience within a finance team/department or accountancy practice.
- Part qualified and/or training towards a recognised accounting qualification.
- Good numerical ability with an attention to detail
- Able to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy and varied workload
- Knowledge of the financial services industry would be an advantage
