Assistant Accountant

Abacus Careers are currently liaising with a progressive, forward-thinking construction firm in Co. Armagh. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Part Qualified Accountant to join a growing shared service team. The successful candidate will have the exposure to gain specialisms across all of my client’s finance functions making them a more all-rounded accountant.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist with Month, quarter and year-end close
• Preparing monthly reporting packs
• Ensuring all transactional functions are compliant
• Assisting with Audit
• Preparing Journals
• Forecasting
• Intercompany reconciliations

What do we look for?

• PQ Accountant
• Experience preparing Statutory accounts
• US GAAP exposure (desirable)
• Background in Construction or manufacturing (desirable)
• Strong ERP system experience
