Are you aspiring to join a growing accountancy firm in a management role? This is a new opportunity with an established and well-regarded accounting practice who are enjoying a busy period of growth in their Audit & Accounting and Tax teams respectively.

With additional demands from new and existing clients, we are recruiting for the position of Assistant Manager within the firms Audit & Accounting function.

Offering exceptional client services is the norm for this firm, and we are looking for a qualified candidate who can assist in the delivery of key client accounting services at a high standard.

Within the firm there is scope for professional development and career progression.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of accounts and relevant financial statements
  • To support the senior management team with a variety of client accounting projects
  • Establish effective relationships with clients, ensuring timely delivery of services across the team.
  • Providing advisory and audit support where necessary
  • Assist in the development of junior and senior Associates within the team.
  • Ensure effective controls are in place and advise on best practice.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and UK GAAP

We are looking for a candidate who can offer:

  • Newly qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA)
  • Experience in a client facing role e.g., in a practice or Big 4 environment.
  • Leadership skills with an interest in managing both client portfolios and internal team.
  • Strong communication skills and an approachable demeanour
  • Proven record in working to deadlines and managing workload accordingly.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
