Assistant Financial Accountant

We are seeking a part-qualified accountant for the new position of Assistant Financial Accountant joining an experienced finance team in Belfast. You will contribute to the accurate and timely processing of accounts and related duties for business operations in NI and ROI, this includes:

• Monthly management accounts (including month end journals)
• Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with the year end audit and preparation
• Assist with the completion of statutory and statistical returns
• Assist in monitoring and updating the Finance intranet site, including expense policies etc.
• Support key stakeholders by providing ad hoc and standard reporting and analysis
• Participate in and undertake projects or initiatives as required
• Identify opportunities to improve methods and procedures, and implement solutions

What we are looking for:

• Part qualified accountant or have at least two years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience working with accounting system(s)
• Experience in reconciliations, posting journals, good understanding of debits and credits
• Good degree of competency in Microsoft Excel and associated Microsoft packages
• Experience with SAP/Concur is desirable
• Experience as part of a multination or global team would be an advantage
