Abacus temporary staffing are delighted to be assisting our client, an award-winning employer within NI seeks to appoint a highly experienced Administrator to join their back-office support team based in corporate NI Headquarters in Belfast city centre.

The Role

Our client seeks to appoint a highly experienced Administrator who have minimum of 12 months experience working within a professional finance environment and who the ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve any problems with customer accounts and internal billing issues.

The Back-Office Team is responsible for the set-up of customer accounts onto our billing system and all subsequent administration duties including Change of Tenancies, Meter Exchanges and other siteworks activities, account reconciliations, account reviews, query resolution, system housekeeping and data amendments and customer service support both in person and via phone and email.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure accounts are created, updated and amended accurately and compliantly in accordance with agreed policies, processes and procedures
  • Work through assigned Back-Office reports to ensure all outstanding actions and jobs raised are completed within agreed timescales
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and focus on quality when capturing, inputting and changing information on customer accounts
  • Ensure accounts are always updated accurately with any actions required/completed or details of changes, amends or customer requests
  • Provide support to the Billing Team as required to ensure that bills issued are accurate and queries are managed and responded to in accordance with our agreed timescales
  • Responsible for handling and resolving billing account queries

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 12 months administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment ideally working within a billing of finance function
  • Ability to manage multiple account queries both business and residential customers
  • Excellent attention to detail ad a high level of accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent customer service and negotiating skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English Grades A*-C
