The Job:

The business development territory covers counties Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone with a focus on competitor retailers alongside green and brownfield sites

The successful candidate will be tasked with developing the company brands in Northern Ireland by identifying opportunities for new business and engaging new retailer partners, including their smooth integration, into the company.

  • Develop a journey plan with call frequency, to include cold calling
  • Generate own leads and set appointments
  • Build good working relationships with property agents and legal teams
  • Identify suitable, new retail partners
  • Engage with nominated business partners to establish opportunities in areas of under
  • Deliver individual new store target within the defined geographical area, in line with team budget
  • Maintain a record of calls made, actions taken, responses noted with regular follow up
  • Maintain and update all information relating to N.I. grocery market competitors.

The Person:

  • Full driving licence
  • 3 years sales and/or business development experience
  • The ability to demonstrate and evidence a strong track record in sales and/or the securing of new business
  • A forward thinking and creative sales approach
  • Results-driven
  • The ability to build long term relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills at a face-to-face level
  • Confident negotiation skills and the ability to close a deal
  • The ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • The ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks
