As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in expansion across the Irish market. Your mission is to establish presence across the public network, workplace, and fleets sectors. You’ll lead the charge in identifying strategic partnerships, driving sales, and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the company’s position, fostering strategic growth initiatives and market expansion.
- Identify potential partners and stakeholders in target sectors, including property management, facility management, introducers, and business groups.
- Innovate and implement new partnership models to expand business opportunities in sectors such as large corporates, hotels, supermarkets, convenience stores, and retail.
- Generate appointments with potential clients and stakeholders, utilising effective communication techniques to pitch products and services through various channels.
- Achieve sales targets by maintaining high levels of activity and delivering exceptional sales performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, install, and commission.
- Conduct technical due diligence on potential sites in partnership with the technical team, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with local and national regulations
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential customers to ensure a consistent flow of new opportunities.
- Oversee customer interactions from initial lead generation to the successful implementation and execution of installations.
- Conduct pre-sales surveys, estimate costs for on street and off-street installations, provide accurate quotations, negotiate contracts, and finalise deals with customers and partners.
- Serve as a company ambassador, cultivating a positive reputation within the industry and effectively communicating our products and services.
- Embrace organisational change proactively, adapting flexibly to the rapidly evolving market.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all contacts and engagements using our internal CRM system.
- Uphold our commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience and building brand awareness and reputation.
- Develop a strong knowledge of our products and services, attend relevant job-specific training, and stay current with industry trends.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety and data protection guidelines at all times.
Essential Criteria
- Proven track record of success in business-to-business sales or business development, preferably (but not necessary) in industries such as renewable energy, smart grid, electric vehicles, energy storage, transportation infrastructure, or sustainable buildings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, effective planning, and organisational skills to work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and prior experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- A full clean driver’s licence for Ireland is required.
