Business Information Security Officer

Abacus are delighted to be working with a global professional services organisation on a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) role, as they continue to build out their Security practice.

This role will closely support the UK BISO Information Security Officers (BISOs) and UK CISO with maintaining and developing engagement with both the UK firm and the wider global security community.

 What do you ideally need for this role:

• 2+ years experience preferably within IT, and a keen interest in developing a careers in Cyber Security
• Enjoy helping people with problem solving, customer service outlook
• Inquisitive nature and intuition regarding what questions to ask, when, and their relative significance
• Communication skills to assist, inform, and build relationships with stakeholders in both the business and support teams, to enable effective information security activities and processes aligned to the firm’s security strategy
• Intermediate to strong data manipulation and visualization skills highly desirable – eg: PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel
• Ability to manage workload – prioritise and recognise when to escalate to management
• Previous experience in similar cyber or risk role desirable – OR, strong understanding of information security with transferable skills.
