What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Commercial Account Handler, your role will be diverse and engaging. You’ll be involved in:

  • Negotiating Success: Showcase your negotiation skills by advocating for clients with underwriters, ensuring they get the best terms.
  • Strategic Submissions: Prepare comprehensive risk submissions to present to underwriters, highlighting the unique needs of their clients.
  • Portfolio Management: Handle insurance portfolios of companies with varying premium sizes, from £1 to £15,000, ensuring their coverage is comprehensive and tailored.
  • Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on risk management and insurance portfolio strategies, making a real impact on their business decisions.
  • Effective Communication: Craft compelling reports and presentations to existing and potential clients, demonstrating your professionalism and expertise.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle challenges head-on with innovative and creative solutions, ensuring clients’ needs are met.

 

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education and Skills: A minimum of A-level education, accompanied by GCSEs in Maths and English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet use.
  • Experience: With at least 2 years’ experience in the insurance market within a commercial role, you’re ready to hit the ground running.
  • Communication Master: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in report writing and professional presentations.
  • Negotiation Skills: Your ability to negotiate effectively and persuasively will set you apart.
  • Analytical Mindset: Identifying and matching the right insurance products with customer needs is your forte.
  • Innovation and Creativity: You thrive in handling situations and problems with innovative and creative approaches.
