Company Accountant

Abacus Careers are delighted to be working with a successful Global distribution company based between Newtownabbey and Antrim.

We are seeking to speak with QBE Accountants, PQ Accountants and PQE Accountants for the role, its all about experience and we are keen to speak with candidates seeking to take the next step in their career.

• Salary £45-60k depending on experience
• Flexible working

In your new role you will:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and making the necessary accounting adjustments for group companies
• Delivery of the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows
• Preparation of consolidated accounts across the multiple companies
•  Preparation of Budget, financial planning and forecasting
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts to include audit file and liaising with external auditors.
• Preparation of the monthly group reporting pack.
• Conducting Revenue Assurance reviews
• Maintain all staff relationships including any personnel, legal and contractual issues
• Management of payroll with a working knowledge of PAYE
• Processing of pension payments / auto-enrolment schemes
• Company secretarial duties, as necessary
• Any duties that may arise that are deemed necessary and relevant to the business and role
• Working closely with the Directors to guide the company on financial strategy.
• Experience in processing Invest NI grants, R&D Tax credit would be beneficial

Who you are:

• Applicants should be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified OR be Qualified by Experience
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal & time management skills and strong IT proficiency, Advanced Excel
• Experience of using Sage Line 50/Sage Payroll
• Highly organised, goal orientated and solutions-focused.
• Strong communication skills
