Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant

Abacus Careers are delighted to be working with a well-established and successful FMCG with pristine offices based in Armagh, We are excited to hear from an experienced Credit Controller/Collections Specialist to join their fun and friendly team.

• Starting salary up to £24,000 + up to £500 bonus each month, the team have been successful in consistently adding commission to their monthly salary and so could you!

In your new role you will perform the following duties:

Debt Management

• Pro-active debt management throughout the month for all customers in NI and ROI, to ensure their exposure is in line with credit limits/terms.
• Providing risk assessments and credit checks for all new customers
• Liaising with solicitors and sale staff to recover bad debts
• Manage order release in line with company deadlines and with customer credit terms
• Customer Management
• Capturing and quickly actioning customer complaints and issues
• Management of customer database
• Advising customers/BDM’s on best payment options for large one off orders

Essential Experience:

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a credit control role, collections and excellent customer service experience
• Alternatively, if you have excellent excel skills and a drive to succeed this will also be considered
• Understanding of pursuing debt collection through the legal systems (solicitors/courts) will be advantageous
