Data Analyst (Forensics)

Are you a Data Analyst ready for the next step in your career? Then I’m glad I have your attention because I am working with a well-known consultancy firm who specialise in forensic data, and they are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their incredible Forensic Data Analytics team.

Based in Belfast, the Forensic Data Analytics team support clients in handling complex matters concerning fraud, regulatory compliance, and business disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients, fraud investigators, auditors, lawyers and regulatory authorities in confidential situations
• Underline and clarify the outputs of analytics to clients in the context of their business
• Be accountable for end to end delivery of projects – Data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), analysis, visualisation, deployment and client delivery
• Handle a large volume of structured and unstructured data from a range of data sources
• Carry out reactive and proactive data analysis of significant datasets using a wide range of technologies, database management systems, Business Information reporting and visualisation software
• Supervise the work of junior team members
• Build algorithms and solutions to identify, respond, prevent, constantly monitor and investigate areas of fraud and financial crime

What you need:

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics OR equivalent work experience
• 1+ years in a data analytics related position
• Experience with SQL and Python (R, JavaScript or C# are also desirable but not essential)
