Defence Insurance Litigation Solicitor

The Company:

With an enviable reputation and brand, the team is now looking to appoint a senior solicitor to join their defence insurance litigation team. Working with large insurance clients throughout the UK, this would suit an ambitious solicitor who thrives within a very supportive culture. The Role:

As a senior member of the team you will oversee and take lead on

• Developing and maintaining key and new client relationships, including attendance at appropriate client meetings
• Handling own caseload across disease, motor, and fraud, including high value/complex/nominated cases with appropriate assistance and agreed performance metrics (chargeable hours and billing)
• Assist in increasing the profile of the Firms in the Disease market (which may include the production of marketing information including articles/blogs, delivering training/seminars etc)
• Contribution to relevant contract tender submissions
• Lead the development of key strategies to combat opponent behaviours

The Person:

• 10yrs PQE
• Previous experience in litigated defendant insurance work up to £500k, particularly industrial disease claims.
• Experience in defence of motor and fraud claims.
• An ability to prioritise workload & strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with case management systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to identify pragmatic solutions to challenges

Desirable

• Experience in EL/PL casualty cases
