Field Engineer – 9 month contract

This leading Irish based MSP is looking for an experience Field engineer to work on a 9 months contract with the options for contract extension. The ideal candidate will have experience across servers, hardware and deployment.

What you’ll do

• Attend customer sites to complete installation and maintenance work on various IT equipment
• Manage faulty spares and organize returns
• Monitor and report on service requests
• Share information and best practices with the team
• Have strong technical aptitude and excellent diagnostic skills
• Experience with PC hardware and software, EPOS installation knowledge
• Possess excellent customer service skills, be able to communicate clearly with customers
• Have a sense of ownership for customer problems
• Be flexible to work around customer’s time frame
• Willing to work occasional after-hours support and maintenance work, including weekends
• Involve moderate heavy lifting

What you need

• Experience with Windows operating systems
• VPN Setup.
• Experience with laptop and PC assembly, installation of printers and network hardware, and configuration of telephones and other IT equipment.
• Information Security awareness
• Comms, network experience
• Excellent Diagnostic Skills
• Must have experience installing Maintenance kits, fuser units.
• EPOS Installation knowledge
• Installation and maintenance of hardware and software
• Sharing information and best practice amongst your team
