Award-winning local firm are hiring an experienced Finance Assistant to join their Belfast team.

What’s involved in this role?

As a Finance Assistant you will be an integral member of the Accounts team, reporting to the Finance Director. Responsibilities include:

  • Inputting purchase ledger invoices
  • Liaising with budget holders for payment approval
  • Reconciling supplier’s ledger accounts to statements
  • Preparing supplier paymentsAward-winning local firm are hiring an experienced Finance Assistant to join their Belfast team.
  • Preparation of nominal analysis
  • Inputting disbursements to office and client ledgers
  • Maintaining accurate office & client ledger information
  • Time Transfer & Revaluations & Write-offs
  • Timely resolution of queries

What’s on offer?

  • Starting salary circa. £20K-24K, depending on level of experience.
  • Working hours Monday – Friday, with a hybrid model of working.
  • Permanent role, offering the opportunity to work with senior members of the Accounts teams in a dynamic, highly successful and progressive firm.

Who are we looking for?

  • Min. 2 years working in a busy transactional role requiring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Recent Bookkeeping, Sales or Purchase Ledger experience within a busy finance team is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook & Teams.
  • Experience working with computerised accounting software.
  • Experience with a Regulated or Professional Services firm is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal & organisational skills.
  • Confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience in working to strict deadlines.
  • Accounting Technician qualification (any level) is desirable.
