We are seeking a proactive, engaging and ambitious finance professional for a newly created CFO role with a rapidly growing Belfast organisation.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant offering 2+ years post-qualified experience with excellent leadership skills and a keen interest in working to streamline and implement improved processes, as well as developing key financial and business strategies for the continued growth of the organisation. In leading the Finance function you will be responsible for:

  • Overall management of the Finance function including treasury management, account and investment reconciliations, preparation of management accounts, managing the Fixed Asset Register, preparation and delivery of all financial reporting internally and externally, and manage Bad Debt provisioning and adjustments.
  • Lead, develop and manage a team delivering the financial functions of the organisation.
  • You will play a key role in strategic business planning including forecasting and financial modelling for the organisation.
  • Accountable for all regulatory financial reporting
  • Ensure all necessary controls are in place in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the organisations investments and associated risks.
  • Report directly to the CEO ensuring overall financial soundness of the organisation and working closely to ensure strong business planning from a finance perspective.
  • Attend board and committee meetings and present key financial information in a confident manner.  

You will stand out if you can offer:

  • 2+ years in managing a team of direct and indirect reports.
  • Strong experience in management or financial accounting. 
  • Experience in implementing and improving internal financial processes and controls.
  • Proven ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Excellent leadership skills and an ability to manage resistance in a changing environment.
  • Experience in managing investments for a large organisation.
  • Experience in M&A or within the financial services industry.
  • Interest in CSR, community improvement and involvement in local social enterprise would be beneficial.
