Job Title: Commercial Financial Analyst

Reporting to: Finance Manager

Salary Range: £40K-45K

Experts in engineering and manufacturing, this company is a key innovator in their industry. Due to the growth and demands of the industry, this company continue to expand and are seeking to bring a Financial Analyst to join their accounting team.

As Financial Analyst you will develop and maintain accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and analysis, supporting the respective Finance and Commercial departments with both day-to-day activities and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Maintenance of HMRC submissions, including VAT returns and other statutory returns
• Prepare annual budgets and forecast updates, including variance analysis.
• Deliver key financial reporting tasks.
• Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
• Cash forecasting and financial modelling
• Supporting product costing and analysis and related projects
• Managing & reconcile all intercompany costs. 
• Familiar with ERP systems and the preparation and reporting of key KPI’s for the business
• Communicating results and working with the team to develop business improvement and cost reduction strategies.
• Identifying financial performance trends and financial risk and making recommendations.
• Supporting with audit (internal & external)
• Additional project or ad hoc tasks in line with your role

What you should bring to the team:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, min. 2+ years experience in a simliar role.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Commercially minded, able to advise and support financial decision making.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in complex financial modelling desired. 
• Open to QBE or Part Qualified Accountants, and also ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountants.
