Abacus Careers are currently supporting this rapidly growing business with the recruitment of a General Counsel (G.C.) / Head of Legal. This is a stand-alone post and is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to secure a lead role within a fast paced, innovative, expanding business.

Having recently secured major investment, you will form part of a leadership team that will have a collaborative approach to delivering against and executing an ambitious business plan. You will also be part of a team that works towards their continued growth in years to come.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to manage expectations of a range of business leaders, a problem solver that, when faced with the need to ‘push-back’, present solutions to the business.

In terms of the role, your main objective will be to protect the commercial interests of the business and reducing any issues as a result of any potential disputes or contractual issues.

Your experience will include a high level of proficiency when is comes to drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and agreements, these should also include IT, telecoms, vendor agreements, sub-contractor agreements and service agreements, to name a few. You will also be the first port of call for any other legal related issues within the business such as employment, property, M&A, regulatory & compliance – so be prepared to be flexible.

You will be a qualified solicitor / lawyer and the suggested minimum level of experience for this role is 8yrs PQE (although the client can be flexible).
