This is your opportunity to gain a new professional challenge with a market leading firm in the professional services industry. We are seeking an experienced AP Manager to lead an established and growing accounts payable finance function. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and improving processes and controls, developing the team, and ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to an organised leader with excellent management and accounting skills.
You will also work closely with other departments and key senior stakeholders to represent your team.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting of management information and reporting to Senior Finance Leadership Team
- Responsible for the management of the Accounts Payable team
- Performance management to include setting goals, coaching, feedback and annual appraisals.
- Ensure timely processing and payment of all supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
- Oversee the BACS / CHAPS payment runs.
- Management of the group’s corporate card account
- Responsible for the month end close process.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the systems, processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance across the team, including investigation of any breaches.
- Promote compliance with statutory reporting rules.

Qualifications / Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable management
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable processing and systems
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable governance, controls and best practices
- Proven track record of growing and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
