Digital is key driver, but we also are fortunate to have a large offline presence, whatever the media channel, this role is about driving awareness and demand. Delivering best in class strategic media planning, layered with innovation, the Head of Paid Media will play an essential part in maximising marketing budgets with impactful media planning. Leveraging solid tried and true media buying, with a test and learn mentality, to keep the business at the forefront of a changing and complex media landscape.

Leading and inspiring an in-house team of talented professionals, that run our centralised search and paid social activities globally, is a key driver. Working with markets and marketing teams across the globe, the Head of Paid Media will have a unique combination of planning expertise and deliverer of flawless execution across the full media mix, with special focus on digital delivery. As a key part of our marketing strategy, this centre of excellence role, will guide and inspire markets to maximise our opportunities for impactful media.

What you will be accountable for:

  • Delivering an annual global media strategy to maximise media spend.

  • Guiding local marketing team on their annual media plans and on tactical activities that arise across the year.

  • Continually optimise and improve the media mix using industry best practice and data driven decision making.

  • Assessing the capabilities, internally and/or with partners, required to deliver better media planning and buying.

  • Lead the in-house team, responsible for paid digital media: search; social; aggregators/metasearch; digital; and affiliates, to maximise investment, identify efficiencies and drive innovation.

  • Look to increase the channel mix, leveraging new technologies and trends, and drive a test and learn strategy globally for the group’s media spend.

  • Be able to advise local marketing team on purchasing media, not centrally purchased, to deliver on media plans and execute campaigns

The Person:

  • 8+ years experience in a media buying role
  • Senior leadership experience within a similar environment
  • Strong commercial acumen including strategic awareness and the ability to deliver global a global media plan.
  • Strong management skills including the ability to coach and mentor
  • Excellent IT knowledge and experience
  • Excellent research skills
