Role Purpose & Context
The Talent Business Partner will develop a value adding business partnership with the senior leadership team and managers within their area of responsibility, so together they can build competence, increase engagement and deliver business results. You will participate in and contribute towards Talent activities across the entire organisation and throughout all stages of the employment life cycle, working towards the delivery of the Talent Strategy and Account Business Plan.

The Talent Business Partner will report to the Talent Operations Manager and will also work as a member of the wider Talent team on cyclical and Talent related projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the development and delivery of the Talent Operations Strategy, ensuring it is closely linked to the Company business plan and value-adding.
  • Empower, skill and coach Leaders to take on people related issues.
  • Devise strategies to facilitate the effective delivery of Talent Management objectives such as value adding end of year reviews, meaningful development planning, minimisation of retention risks and the provision of a secure talent pipeline 
  • Coach managers through the Talent Management cycle
  • Identify, design and deliver leader development programmes that inform, guide, challenge and stretch Leaders to expand their people related activities
  • Manage and support Leaders to resolution of complex employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with all UK & Ireland employment legislation, supported by robust policies and procedures. Take the legal, ethical and moral perspective in all people management situations.
  • Craft new policies and contribute to/ drive improvements to existing policies, either through best practice and or legislative demand
  • Provide credible advice in line with company policies and procedures in all operational HR related issues including recruitment, ER, engagement and talent.
  • Analyse Talent KPI information and use this information to actively influence and support managers to identify key areas for improvement, and driving achievement of these results
  • Act as employee champion in the organisation, staying connected to our employees.
  • Support employee engagement through preparation of related surveys and the delivery and communication of the resultant action plans.
  • Support Accounts to devise and deliver on their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan
  • Develop and maintain relevant external relationships and build key relationships within Liberty internationally and in your specialist field. Contribute to Liberty Mutual development by supporting national and international projects.
  • Support and lead the delivery of special projects including partnering with & across the wider 
 
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Have 3+ years’ relevant experience in a busy HR Department at Business Partner level
  • Degree in HR/Business related discipline or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified
  • Local (ROI and/or NI) legislative employment knowledge and experience of application
  • Experience of providing advice and support to managers/Leaders at all levels and in all key aspects of Talent and employee relations to include a proven track record of managing complex ER cases
  • Experience in building customer / business partner relationships
  • Strong Commercial Acumen with proven track record of delivering results
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Have experience in leading out on a variety of value adding projects
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills

Desired Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working in a similar environment (i.e. IT / Financial / Insurance services)
  • Experience working with split site teams (Belfast and Dublin)
