Due to growth our client is seeking to recruit an HR Consultant on a permanent basis. You will be joining a team of professionals.
As an HR Consultant, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to a prestigious client base, providing advice, support and guidance tailored to their individual needs. Due to the nature of the role, we predominantly advise on Employee Relations matters. You are expected to utilise your skills and experience of a wide range of employment law and HR matters, including recruitment and selection, restructure and redundancy, capability and performance management, and TUPE, to identify solutions for clients which make a positive impact. Our client operates in a fast based environment, dealing with several complex matters and cases at one time across a variety of industries, therefore this role would be suitable for someone who has experience either working as a HR consultant or an advisor, providing advice across a multi-site environment.
EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
Utilising your knowledge, skills and experience to provide advice and guidance to our clients across the full spectrum of employment law and HR;
Proactively building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients in person, in writing and over the telephone.
Effectively managing personal workloads and meeting deadlines, delivering our services to clients in an efficient manner, including advice, practical support and review meetings as required.
Ensuring the timely production of high-quality reports, correspondence, documentation, and articles as required.
Drafting high quality, fully tailored policies, procedures and correspondence for use in the employment relationship on behalf of clients;
Planning, designing and delivering training sessions on a wide range of topics associated with the employment relationship;
Maintaining accurate records and files at all times, including timely inputting/recording of all relevant data;
Actively contributing to the achievement of team and business objectives by identifying gaps, up-selling and cross-selling. This includes business development initiatives such as seminars, workshops, drafting articles and provision of advice to potential clients;
Building good working relationships with Employment Services colleagues and the wider Willis Insurance and Risk Management Group team;
Ensuring that Company procedures, our high client service standards and compliance regulations are adhered to and maintained, at all times acting in the best interests of our clients.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
CIPD qualified or equivalent
Strong knowledge of NI employment law and best practice;
At least three years proven hands on experience in a HR/employment law advisory role;
Experience delivering HR/employment law advice and guidance to an external client group;
Experience of drafting bespoke policies, procedures, contracts and letters in relation to the employment relationship;
Experience of drafting and delivering training associated with the employment relationship;
Ability to self-organise and prioritise a varied workload and deliver to tight deadlines;
Ability to confidently communicate and effectively build relationships, with strong written, verbal and listening skills;
Flexible approach as the successful candidate will be required to work across a range of HR activities, which will involve travel to client locations;
IT literate and proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages;
A full valid UK driving licence.
Knowledge and understanding of salary reviews and benchmarking.
