Working closely with the HR Business Partner, the HR Officer will support the management team and employees in policy and procedural implementation and provide HR support, advice and services to the wider business as required. Normal duties will include assisting with training and development, policy development, discipline and grievance and general administration as well as cross functional tasks, such as HR projects.

Responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to;

  • Training and development
  • Policy review and development
  • HR support, advice, and guidance
  • Supporting Disciplinaries and grievances
  • General HR admin and project support
  • Employee engagement
  • Performance management
  • Recruitment and selection

Essential Criteria

  • Membership of CIPD
  • Full driving license with access to own car
  • 3 years’ experience working in a HR generalist role, to include responsibility for the following processes:
  • Recruitment & Selection
  • Training & Development
  • Discipline & Grievance
  • Payroll management
  • Advising on employment law matters
  • Experience of using HR information system
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships with people at all levels
  • Ability to manage time/workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Post graduate qualification in HR
  • HR Experience gained within a multisite environment
  • Experience of dealing with Trade Unions
