Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer needed to join a global manufacturer based in Northern Ireland. This role has come about due to an internal promotion, which is a great indicator of the way this company like to operate!

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting a robust Infrastructure service globally, as well as administering the public cloud and on-prem environments. Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager, you will provide continuous improvement efforts for the IT Infrastructure and deliver projects as required. 

Skills & Experience:

• Excellent knowledge of Windows Server and VMWare environments.
• Extensive troubleshooting, triage, root cause analysis, performance monitoring skills and strong research techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes in difficult situations and work with Business Application teams, end users and various levels of management.
• Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences, both written and verbal.
• Experience using AWS/Azure or Public Cloud infrastructure.
• Experience of participating in or managing successful infrastructure change projects.
