What you’ll do
- Deployment of Projects to the European Sites.
- Troubleshooting outages and identifying root causes. Implement monitoring solutions, and respond to alerts and issue as required.
- Liaise with the GIOS IT team and Segment IT teams to gather detailed business requirements and then translate these requirements into specifications for the development and support of the business.
- Meeting with technical architects, software engineers and database analysts to understand and implement new requirements, features and changes.
- Manage and periodically review Site Assessments for European sites.
- Support Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and report on savings made.
- Ensure that “Best Practice” business continuity and disaster recovery plans and test procedures/schedules are implemented and documented for all services.
- Ensure that effective capacity planning and configuration management is maintained for the infrastructure environment.
- Provide input to both tactical and strategic business cases and presentations to support the GIOS IT function.
- Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for SOX & global IT Policies & Procedures.
- Participation in the definition & maintenance of key KPI to help drive measurement & continuous improvement opportunities within the IT function.
- Maintenance of a centralized IT document repository to support the operational efficiency of the wider GIOS IT team.
What you need
- Administering an Enterprise Active Directory and VMWare environment.
- Experience using AWS/Azure or Public Cloud infrastructure is desired but not required.
- Demonstrable experience of participating in or managing successful infrastructure change projects.
- Knowledge of data protection and other related compliance legislation.
- Experience of infrastructure planning and service delivery is required.
Desirable
- Professional Certification Exams – MCSE, MCITP, VMWare Certified Professional, AWS (SysOps/SA)
