One of the leading Northern Ireland Insurance companies is looking for an infrastructure engineer to join their team. What you’ll do

  • Identifying support trends, troubleshooting issues, and providing escalation point to others within the department or liaising with third parties when required.
  • Providing 2nd/3rd level support to core business within SLA timeframes
  • Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact.
  • Participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.
  • Proactive system monitoring & daily, weekly, monthly health including BCP tests.
  • Support good practice and processes such as Problem Management, Incident Management and Change Management.
  • Participate in the Infrastructure project roadmap and complete tasks to ensure a timely delivery.
  • Work closely with Infrastructure team to delivery on core business Infrastructure projects.
  • Any other tasks assigned by IT Management

What you need

Essential Experience

  • Working knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms 3 Years’ Experience of Hardware Support
  • Experience of working with Disaster Recovery and / or Business Continuity processes and solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms
  • A full driving license with daily access to a vehicle

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of VoIP communication and session boarder controllers
  • Experience of Network Support & Security (e.g. Active Directory, Group Policy, Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls & VPN’s)
  • Knowledge and Experience in Database Administration and Analysis (MS SQL, MySQL etc)
  • A working knowledge of SharePoint and/or Web Standards e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript
