Ready to Take the Lead in Audit

Join a thriving, medium-sized firm where your voice is heard, your ideas matter, and your career can truly flourish.

Our client is not in the Big Four – and that’s exactly their strength. At this firm, you’ll get hands-on client exposure, real progression opportunities, and the chance to make a lasting impact.

We’re currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Audit Manager to join this fast-growing team. If you’re ready to step into a leadership role with autonomy and influence, this could be your perfect next move.

? About the client:

“We’re a respected independent accountancy firm with a strong and growing presence in the mid-market. Our team thrives on delivering high-quality audit and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and not-for-profit organisations. We pride ourselves on a collaborative culture and a balanced, people-first approach.”

Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As Audit Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading audit engagements from planning to completion while mentoring a high-performing team. Your role will include:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of audit clients across various industries
  • Planning, executing, and finalising audits in line with regulatory and internal standards
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for client queries and relationship management
  • Reviewing work prepared by audit teams and providing constructive feedback
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards
  • Supporting Directors and Partners in business development activities and proposal writing
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members, helping them grow in their roles
  • Identifying opportunities to add value and improve client processes
  • Contributing to the continued evolution of our audit methodology and quality standards

About You: What We’re Looking For

You’re a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll bring:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 3–5 years’ audit experience, ideally with some management responsibility
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage audit engagements and client relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • A team-first attitude with a passion for mentoring and developing others
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to contribute to firm-wide initiatives

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary & benefits package
  • Real opportunities for promotion to Senior Manager and beyond
  • Hybrid working options
  • A culture that values work-life balance and personal development
  • Direct access to Partners and decision-makers
  • A supportive, inclusive team where your impact is recognised
