About the Role:

As an IP Solicitor / Trade Mark Attorney at this prestigious firm, you’ll be at the forefront of their full-service, cross-border intellectual property practice. This is a rare opportunity to work with some of the world’s best-known brands on cutting-edge IP issues, supporting brand owners in developing, protecting, and exploiting their assets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out availability searches and advising on trade mark and design availability for use and registration.
  • Providing advice for trade mark and design filing strategies.
  • Filing and prosecuting trade mark and design applications through to registration and liaising with local agents regarding national applications worldwide.
  • Advising clients on and dealing with registry objections and brand conflicts.
  • Preparing and filing opposition, cancellation, and revocation actions.
  • Handling inter-party disputes before trade mark registries and supervising overseas disputes handled by foreign associates as well as negotiating and drafting settlements agreements.
  • Supervising worldwide trade mark watching programs.
  • Supervising diligence activities and advisory matters relating to brands’ aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Assisting with practice management and business development.
  • Supervising and training staff.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Trade Mark Attorney with 1+ years PQE in trade mark and design matters..
  • A motivated individual with the desire and ability to continuously develop professional and share knowledge.
  • Someone organised that can, at times, juggle changing deadlines and a busy workload.
  • An excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.
  • Someone with strong business acumen.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
