IS SYSTEMS SUPPORT ENGINEER – TOP 100 NI COMPANY

This top 100 NI Company is looking for a Systems support engineer, to join their team. Being one of the top manufacturing companies in the country, they need someone to help support their IT systems enabling them to grow and develop further. You will be dealing with some of the leading tech in the IT industry, this is a great opportunity to enhance your skills.

What you’ll be doing

• Ensure maximum up-time and availability of all infrastructure and applications;
• Monitor, manage and update systems e.g. servers, storage arrays, ESX hosts, virtual machines, telephony etc, and manage any capacity or performance issues that may arise;
• Manage Cisco switches and routers and Cisco WLAN controllers and AP’s.
• Manage Cisco Webex video-conferencing equipment and assist users as required;
• Monitor and administer Commvault Backup and DR Infrastructure (on site and cloud);
• Maintain production monitoring systems, barcode scanners and Zebra label printers;
• System administrator with responsibility for security infrastructure (firewall, VPN, appliances, web filters, etc), users, passwords, permissions and overall system integrity;
• Accurate record keeping and auditing of software;
• Maintain readily accessible and accurate copy of system documentation including notes on system issues.

What you need

• GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above
• Diploma or other qualification in IT related discipline · Microsoft Certification
• IT support experience in a busy office environment
• Support of PC’s, laptops, printers etc
• Support of MS Windows 8 and 10, Office 2013 onwards and M365
• MS Windows Server 2016 and 2019 Server administration
• Microsoft Azure administration
• AD / Group Policy administration
• MS Exchange 2016 or Exchange Online administration
• LAN or WAN administration and troubleshooting experience
• VMWare vSphere virtualisation experience
