As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will take charge of the following key responsibilities:

• Mastermind the server hardware and networking equipment across our entire company estate.
• Command virtual environments hosted in VMWare/Hyper-V and SAN storage with unparalleled expertise.
• Harness your skills in server software, ensuring seamless operations through patching, security implementation, scripting, automation, IIS, and server hardening.
• Become the driving force behind their Exchange/Office365 infrastructure, guaranteeing system efficiency and troubleshooting any challenges that arise.
• Rule the Windows-based domain services, expertly maintaining DNS, DHCP, AD, and GPO. Be the go-to support champion, providing top-notch 1st-2nd line operational assistance for infrastructure service issues.
• Foster collaborative relationships with their staff, customers, and 3rd party suppliers, ensuring exceptional server farms and LAN/WAN environments.
• Excel in prioritizing your workload and delivering exceptional results.
• Work hand in hand with the Infrastructure Manager to identify cutting-edge technical solutions for incidents and projects.

Your Key Mission:

• Proficiency in SAN technology (HP/EqualLogic/Compellent) and VMWare (vSphere, vCenter 5.x) virtual appliances.
• The ability to travel between UK sites, supporting the business with your exceptional skills on a day-to-day basis. (A valid UK driving license is essential.)
• A proven track record in the maintenance of Windows Server domains and Domain Controllers (Microsoft Active Directory).
• Expertise in maintaining Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 or above.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows server installation, usage, configuration, and maintenance.
• A strong command of TCP/IP networking and LAN technologies, including IP address configuration and troubleshooting.
• A remarkable aptitude for support and build, including producing support documentation.
• Proficiency in firewall technologies and their respective management platforms.
• Top-tier troubleshooting skills in layer 2/3 switching.
• Working towards CCNA/CCNP certification.
• Outstanding skills in server/network troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills:

• Achievement of MCTS/MCITP certification in Exchange Server.
• Understanding of networking concepts, with experience in Cisco networking equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as email security devices, web proxies, firewalls, and anti-virus solutions.
• Experience with secure desktop management technologies like WSUS and AV server.
• Proficiency in Commvault and other storage & backup technologies.
• Relevant qualifications with leading vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Checkpoint, CompTIA, LPI, HP, Compaq, or equivalent.
• CCSE – Checkpoint Certified Systems Engineer.
• 5-10 years in IT Infrastructure experience
