IT Support Engineer – Hybrid

Abacus Careers are glad to be working with a wonderful Tech client within Antrim who has an opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Engineer. They are looking for an ambitious, driven and technologically gifted engineer to assist in their Managed Services & Security Provider. The role is very client focussed, therefore a professional and knowledgeable approach alongside efficiency and respecting agreed SLA’s is a necessity. My client is interested in motivated and driven technical engineers and will invest heavily into their progression and professional development.

To succeed in this position the following criteria is desirable:

• Multiple years’ experience in a L2/3 support role within a MSP environment 
• Microsoft related qualifications and certifications are essential
• Networking experience such as consistent use of switching, firewalls, routers and wireless AP’s
• Windows Servers 2012, 2016, 2019  
• Virtualisation (VMware and Hyper-V) experience 
• Existing knowledge of Windows based operating systems
• Office 365 administration skills 
• Active directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy 
• Understanding of Veeam Backup Solutions or similar product
• Possess strong written documentation skills and have excellent verbal communication skills.
