We are working on behalf of our industry leading client to recruit a Junior Credit Controller to join their established finance team in their NI headquarters. Experience in credit control or an account’s role would be an advantage but is not essential.

The Role and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and key clients to encourage timely recovery of payments.
  • Accurately preparing invoices and statements and sending on time to customers.
  • Follow-up on past due accounts in order to recover payment and minimise debtors list.
  • Dealing with customer queries in a professional and efficient manner, resolving issues in relation to invoice payments.
  • Ensuring that customer records are kept up to date and that data is accurate.
  • Posting and allocating payments received.
  • Assist with statement reconciliation, month-end processes and financial reports.
  • Provide administration support to the Credit Control team as and when required.

Who we are looking for…

  • Educated to GCSE level or above (including English & Maths – Grade C)
  • Excellent experience of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Effective telephone manner with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work confidentially and demonstrate professional integrity.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Be proficient in data entry demonstrating an ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a challenging and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a finance role or professional qualification (desired)
