IT Engineer

This ground-breaking maritime company is looking for an IT engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board with this world leading company. They are looking for an outgoing and approachable person to going their close-knit team.

What you’ll do

• Ensuring the onboarding process of new starts is maintained in an efficient manner.
• Procurement of IT hardware and software.
• Present new solutions within the IT department and company.
• Improve documentation and implementation of processes within all departments.
• Assist all departments with their IT support and development requests.
• Assisting data and electronic departments with – bench testing, cloud hosting, backups, cabling, Windows and Linux server support, server access control.
• Security systems support – CCTV, building access control, reception sign in
• Teams meeting room configuration and support.
• On Water operations support – cabling, remote support, system support.
• Comply with policies and procedures.

What you need

• Educated to degree level in a relevant IT discipline or equivalent NVQ Level 7 qualification. Experience of Desktop / Laptop maintenance, upgrading and repairs.
• Experience of Server configuration and support.
• Network troubleshooting skills.

Preferred:

• Industry experience of end user IT Support with a corporate environment.
• Industry experience of server support.
• Industry experience of network administration, including switch and firewall support.
