Our client is seeking to recruit a KM Content Specialist , you will be joining a team of KM Specialists working in a leading law firm.

The KM Content Specialist assists in curating Firm content and maintaining internal and external KM tools and resources. The KM Content Specialist also analyzes data related to attorney requests for subject-matter expertise, work product, and other materials. In addition, the KM Content Specialist provides guidance to Firm colleagues on effectively accessing, navigating, and utilizing KM tools and resources. As necessary, the KM Content Specialist partners with other KM teams on cross-functional KM initiatives and projects. This position reports to the Firm’s KM Counsel Supervisor and the Belfast KM Lead.

 

Essential Functions:

Learn and consistently leverage the Firm’s internal and client facing tools, including the ODConnect intranet, Legal Resource Center, 50-State Surveys das`hboard, enterprise search tool, the document management system (DMS), the Client Portal, and Clientlink

Partner with KM Counsel to maintain the Firm’s extensive collection of high-quality checklists, model documents, practice notes, and surveys

Analyze and catalogue materials from Firm seminars/webinars, including presentations, white papers, and accompanying content

Assist in curation of the Firm’s chat bot and other KM tools and resources

Analyze and report on trends in requests handled by the KM Counsel team and usage of KM tools and resources

Provide guidance to attorneys, paralegals, and other Firm personnel on available KM tools and resources, including recommendations for accessing, navigating, and using them to locate subject-matter experts, work product, and other materials

Assist with ongoing KM initiatives and projects as needed, including quality-checking Firm and client-facing KM resources, supporting awareness and adoption activities for knowledge sharing projects, practice/industry group KM support, and piloting research tools

Coordinate with other KM teams and Firm departments as necessary, including Client Services, Information Technology, KM Innovation and Solutions, and Research Services

Engage proactively with project stakeholders to keep them apprised of project status and activities

Manage self and take ownership of assigned projects, updating internal documentation where required and communicating promptly

Participate in discussions on process enhancements, workflow, and improved ways of working, contributing to, and building a culture of continuous improvement within the department

Account for time taken to complete tasks and contribute to discussions on capacity tracking

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study required (Law, Business, Management, Information Systems, Library Science, and/or Communications)

 2-3 years of relevant work experience.

Strong understanding and extensive use of knowledge management principles, methodologies, and technologies.

Proficient in using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to structure and present data/information.

Consistency and accountability, following through and building a track record of integrity by taking ownership

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels, including leadership, in a globally diverse environment.

Clear attention to detail and comfortable with performing quality checks on all work output.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with project management terminology and concepts, including agile.

Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels.

Ability to self-start and take initiative daily.

Excellent client service skills gained in a busy deadline-driven environment.

Proficient in all Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and other Document Management Systems.

Experience with Smartsheet and Contentful a plus
