Exciting Opportunity: Operations Director

With assets in excess of Eighty Five Million pounds, my “Not for Profit” Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to join their growing team.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role is pivotal in overseeing a range of operations across their organisation. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a track record of managing day-to-day operations while aligning them with broader business strategies for growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and Director of Finance to ensure operational alignment with the broader business strategy.
  • Lead and manage a dynamic multi-site setting, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.
  • Coordinate system, policy, and process reviews to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of a business strategy, ensuring alignment with broader strategic plans.
  • Effectively manage a team, providing leadership and direction.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Minimum of five years’ full-time experience at Management or Director level in operations within an established organization.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing a team of at least three people.
  • Contribution to the development of a business strategy and broader strategic plan.
  • Strong track record in delivering strategic objectives aligned with broader business strategy.
  • Experience in developing robust processes, procedures, and policies for safeguarding and managing business functions.
  • Evidence of external stakeholder engagement and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to required quality.
  • Experience in procurement and budget management.
  • Successful leadership in delivery and transformation in a large organization.
  • Ability to manage operational performance with tight financial constraints.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in a Senior Operations role within a financial services organization.
  • Operations management experience requiring compliance with a range of regulatory frameworks beyond Health & Safety.
