💼 The Opportunity
Abacus Careers is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Partner Accounting Manager to join a leading international professional services organisation with a strong presence across the UK and Europe.  This is an excellent opportunity to play a high-profile, key role within a specialist team.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, partners, banks, legal advisers, auditors and internal finance teams, contributing to a critical function within a highly respected organisation.  If you’re a part-qualified/qualifed or QBE accountant with strong accounting experience and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage partner distributions, earnings, drawings payments and account reconciliations
• Prepare drawings statements, journals and partner benefits postings
• Oversee partnership capital contributions, loans and repayment processes
• Maintain and reconcile partner capital general ledger accounts
• Manage partner joiner, mover and retiree processes, including retirement calculations and earnings confirmations
• Act as the main point of contact for partner profit and capital queries
• Support year-end audit requirements and preparation of annual partner statements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support finance-related project work

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant or Qualified By Experience Accountant
• Proven experience working in a legal or professional services environment 
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and partners
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
• Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team
