One of Northern Ireland’s leading companies are seeking to recruit a payroll officer to join their growing team. You will have complete control over the payroll and operational process of the payroll function, including ongoing support from the senior team.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of weekly computerised payroll
• Ensuring that all payrolls are processed within the required time frames and liaising with other members of the team in a timely manner
• Processing and submission of statutory filing
• Administration of pension returns, auto-enrolment and administration related to new starters and leavers
• Maintenance of accurate payroll and pensions records
• Reconciliation of nominal codes associated with payroll
• Month-end and year-end payroll journals
• Regular interaction with employees both verbally and in writing
• Ad-hoc finance and administrative duties to support the wider finance department
• Other duties as required

Key Skills

• Strong IT skills and a proven ability to use and adapt quickly to new technology
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills ability to draft professional correspondence
• Ability to work flexibly and effectively as an individual and team member
• Willingness to work variable hours, when necessary, to meet the requirements of the post
• Problem solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills
• Trustworthy with the ability to deal with confidential information
