We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist!

As a Payroll Specialist Consultant, you will be responsible for coordinating, analysing, and performing activities related to payroll processing, administration, and compliance, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll for our UK employees.

Our client is well known for providing an excellent working environment in the Belfast and worldwide offices. In this role, you can avail of hybrid working (just 2 days in the office, and 3 WFH each week).

Competitive salary negotiable on experience level, circa £27K-32K

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and processing monthly payrolls for approximately 450+ employees over 5 payrolls
  • Reviewing payroll inputs from various internal sources to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Processing and reconciling files from internal HR and time tracking systems
  • Maintaining relationships with our payroll vendor to ensure timely input submissions and processing
  • Monthly payrolls for accurate payments to our employees.
  • Ensure proper computing, withholding, and/or deductions associated with net pay are done correctly
  • Provide ad-hoc support to other members of the team
  • Manage and respond efficiently to queries

Essential Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with end-to-end processing of either multi-country or multi-sited payrolls and be able to calculate manual payments. Strong Excel skills are also required, along with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and workload, complete multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and quality, and adjust to changes in priorities and situations.

Additionally, you should be able to interact in a professional manner with both internal and external customers, maintain confidentiality, and appropriately handle and communicate controversial or sensitive information. You should also be able to respond to queries/enquiries promptly and courteously, identify customer needs through active listening and clarifying questions, meet commitments and check for customer satisfaction, and manage difficult or emotional situations.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with Workday Systems
  • Experience or qualification in international payroll processing
  • Payroll qualification such as CIPP
  • 12 month contract position, potential for permanent contract.
