Pensions’ Governance Administrator – Belfast

Abacus Careers are pleased to be recruiting for a Pensions’ Governance Administrator on behalf of a leading Pensions’ provider in their Belfast Office. The client, currently providing schemes for over 1,000 employers and over 10,000 employees has been operating for over 40 years’ and has a unique approach to their success – building on strong foundations of expertise and developing long-lasting relationships.

Salary

Negotiable (dependant on experience) alongside a remuneration package including a minimum 11% pension contribution (employer/employee) and an early finish on Friday’s.

Key elements of the role

  • Proofreading lengthy documents
  • Assist with documenting and reviewing scheme documentation such as policies, processes and procedures including the redrafting of documents until correct.
  • Assist with board meetings including putting together high-quality meeting packs, summary reports and follow up actions.
  • Assist with the research and delivery of governance related projects.

Maintain relationships will be a key output of this role as working productively with the Scheme Manager and Governance and Compliance Manager will ensure that business is conducted as smoothly and efficiently as possible to ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.

Qualifications/ Experience required

  • Educated to a A-level standard a minimum
  • Experience of Secretarial/ senior administration support
  • Experience of documenting procedures and summarising reports
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Educated to a Degree level
  • Pensions’ administration experience.

In essence the candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex information. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt, understand and absorb change will ensure a quality service. Ideally this candidate should be highly organised and motivated and have the ability to work unsupervised on a day-to-day duty, handling a busy workload, meeting tight deadlines and prioritising tasks.
