Key Responsibilities:

As a Newly Qualified Planning Solicitor, you will play a vital role in our planning and development practice. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Legal Advisory: Providing legal advice to clients on a wide range of planning and development matters, including but not limited to planning applications, appeals, environmental impact assessments, and zoning regulations.

  2. Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough legal research, analyzing precedents, and staying up-to-date with changes in planning and development laws and regulations in Northern Ireland.

  3. Drafting Documents: Preparing legal documents, including planning applications, appeals, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  4. Client Communication: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering clear and concise legal advice, and managing client expectations throughout the planning and development process.

  5. Project Management: Overseeing and managing planning and development projects from inception to completion, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, clients, and consultants.

  6. Collaboration: Working closely with our team of experienced solicitors, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the successful handling of planning cases.

  7. Compliance: Ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recently qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland, with a focus on planning and development law.
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation, regulations, and procedures in Northern Ireland.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for planning law and a desire to grow and develop within the field.
  • A commitment to providing outstanding client service.
