What You Will Do:

As a Process Specialist, you will work across various process areas to provide support to the relevant Process Managers. Collaborating with the Software Asset Manager and the Configuration & Hardware Asset Manager, you will maintain a set of business practices for IT assets within the firm. Your responsibilities will include joining, inventory, contractual, financial, and risk management activities to assist in effectively managing the lifecycle of assets.

Additionally, you will assist the Software Asset Manager in overseeing the firm’s software portfolio and key third-party suppliers. This will involve working closely with internal teams and stakeholders such as Procurement, In-House Legal, Product Owners, and relevant stakeholders across the firm. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy and processes necessary for the effective management, control, and protection of software assets throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of statistical and analytical principles and processes.

  • Commercial acumen, including an understanding of how IT service costs and value contribute to the business.
  • Financial acumen, enabling comprehension of budget management and proficiency in internal financial processes.
  • High level of personal credibility, impact, and influence, with a proven ability to work effectively and persuasively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop robust working relationships across the IT function, facilitating knowledge sharing to contribute to project and service improvement initiatives.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for technology, coupled with the ability to promote technology within the firm using business-friendly language. Actively seek opportunities with tangible business benefits.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge:
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of ITIL disciplines, particularly Software Asset Management (SAM) and Transition Management.
  • Familiarity with the development lifecycle for technologies utilized at the firm.
  • Awareness of the infrastructure and technology employed within the firm, including LANs, WANs, hardware, databases, client-server application architectures, disaster recovery planning, etc.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of IT concepts and architectures, coupled with practical knowledge of Change Management principles and processes required for implementing and delivering services.

Experience:

  • Practical experience in a complex IT operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in transitioning complex, critical services into live operation.
  • Strong experience within a managed service environment.
  • Proficiency in project management and project frameworks.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, with excellent numeracy, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong experience and ability to prioritize tasks, execute them efficiently, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Process Specialist across any of the ITIL functions.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, candidates should possess the following qualifications or their equivalents:
  • At a minimum, an ITIL Service Capability qualification. Alternatively, completion of the Service Lifecycle ITIL modules – Intermediate qualification.
