Your New Opportunity:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering IT projects that meet business needs. Reporting to the Programme Management Office (PMO) Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of IT projects that drive the Group forward.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Managing multiple project deliveries from initiation through to implementation and project closure.
  • Coordinating and managing third-party vendors against agreed work packages.
  • Representing projects and programmes in all governance, compliance, and regulatory forums.
  • Assessing and reporting the status of all projects transparently and accurately, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Proactively identifying, resolving, and escalating project risks and issues as needed.
  • Planning staffing and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
  • Meeting financial objectives, budgeting, and managing expenditures.
  • Understanding business objectives and aligning projects to achieve desired results.
  • Adapting and responding to changes both within and outside the project.
  • Predicting risk areas, designing mitigation/contingency strategies, and executing them.
  • Leading across a wide variety of project types.
  • Collaborating with internal customers to design functional enhancements and identify gaps.
  • Managing and reporting project costs.
  • Performing any other duties as required.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in delivering IT software and infrastructure projects, including complex, multi-workstream projects.
  • Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and motivate project team members to deliver on milestones.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting.
  • Expertise in managing third-party suppliers.
  • Proficiency in risk management, action items, issue and dependency tracking, and producing project status reports.
  • PRINCE2/PMP/Agile certification (or equivalent).

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in the Energy and Utility sectors.
  • Experience in Agile or matrix project environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle CC&B system.
  • Strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Commercial experience.
  • Current driving license and access to a car.
