Reconciliations Analyst

Joining on an initial 12 month contract, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary. This is a hybrid working opportunity allowing you to work up to three days from home every week if desired. You will be working with a highly specialised team across Belfast & the US. 

The Analyst is responsible for the movement of cash and non-cash collateral by looking after:

– Reconciliation of multiple accounts (various currencies). Analyze any issues that have resulted in a variance, document appropriate and provide timely resolution. 

– Facilitate transactions of deposits, withdrawals, or substitutions. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for these transactions to flow through timely and accurately.

– Assist in monthly financial reporting of performance by accurately posting general ledger net changes and resolving any discrepancies.

– Provide customer service by assisting with inquiries regarding collateral assets, cash movements, asset allocation, asset value calculation, collateral eligibility, settlement pays and collects, interest payments, among others.

Education, Skills and Software Requirements:

– Third Level Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business

– Min. 1 years experience in an accounting or finance role, working with reconciliations (placement or employment) 

– Experience in retail banking or financial services firm would be desirable but not essential

– Proficient in using MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word

– Strong attention to detail, teamworking and ability to work to deadlines. 

Salary negotiable for an experienced candidate, with 2+ years working in Reconciliations, Settlements or Financial Analysis.
